Can you believe it? Salvador Perez, starting catcher for the Kansas City Royals, was one of the “Sharks” for Teach for America’s Shark Tank Edition and HE’S BEEN IN OUR PHOTOBOOTH! This is a great event where teachers with TFA bring their best ideas forward to better their classrooms and and student experiences, present to the Sharks, and the Sharks can invest money into their idea. Just like the TV show. Although we must say we do love our local to Kansas City celebs who are always a huge part of this event. We love being invited back to have our photobooth at this event at the Gem Theatre each year.

And THIS year in particular the Sharks included: Royals catcher Salvador Perez, City Gym founder Hailee Bland Walsh, Kansas City philanthropist and co-founder of University Academy Shirley Helzberg and Roasterie founder Danny O’Neill.  I love that they are all so down to earth and kind. Salvy pretty much just stayed in the photobooth so everyone could line up and hop in for a picture with him. Such a fun event!!
